Sanrio – NMK (1997)
Capsule Dispensing Machine
This delightful gacha-style amusement machine from the 1990s combines cute Sanrio aesthetics with a fun mix of timing, gravity, and luck—all wrapped in a charming Hello Kitty theme.
After dropping a quarter into the coin slot, the game comes to life:
A mechanical ladder on the left begins rising, releasing small plastic balls one by one onto a ledge at the top of the playfield.
The player must press the red button at just the right moment to remove the rail platform, allowing it to drop the ball onto a twisting, multi-tiered rail system filled with pegs, ramps, and chutes.
As the ball bounces and rolls its way down, it will eventually land in one of several point-marked compartments at the bottom. The more balls you strategically score within the high-value zones you hit, the better your chances are at winning.
Score over 300 points, and the machine dispenses a capsule prize!
The game features a bright, colorful design with Hello Kitty and her twin sister Mimmy, surrounded by signature Sanrio styling. With its blend of simple mechanics and whimsical design, it’s a perfect example of accessible, family-friendly arcade fun—great for younger players, casual gamers, or nostalgic collectors alike.
